Hi Schaefmister!!!
So you are now in Grade three! That's a big achievement man! That's great. You will have fun in grade three. I remember when I was in grade three...feels just like yesterday actually. During lunch break we played a game; some of us farm kids would climb up on the top of the desks and see who could jump from desk to desk. Unfortunately when it was my turn up on the desk; our teacher came in, I was the one that got caught! She whacked me hard on the back with a yard stick and made me get down off the desk. I don't remember what happened after that. I guess I blocked that out of my mind :)
Glad you have a blog now; hope you continue to write more, more, more and more every day!!!You have to write a lot and ~ also ask some controversial questions so that people will write lots of comments.... For example maybe you write about "Why hockey sucks!!!" or "Why would anyone want to play a sucky game like hockey!!!" That will get you lots of comments!!! hahahahahah! Just teasin ya!
Good work, Schaefmister!!!
as always, Your Uncle carl

Gute Morgan...thats kinda like good morning in German. I just make up words that sound like German. Most people don't know what you're talking about any way. they will either think you're cool or nuts. But just like your uncle Carl...some people don't care if others think they are NUTS. Derek you should get your Uncle Carl to tell you more school stories . He's got some woppers. I remember my first day at school. Morris Knorr (used to ride on the school bus with us , Lived down at Reynolds farm) when we first walked into the school room we looked at each other and said "if this isn't our room let's run." we were so scared. After that we had lots of fun. (I had a girl friend in grad one...Leslie Funk...don't tell Auntie Lisa )thanks
Anyhow most people who hate hockey just can't skate or have some kinda "focus" problem and can never find that wee little BLACK puck on that great big WHITE ice. oh well Derek, we live in a free country (democracy) people can think what ever they want. We don't have to care. Keep up the good work Derek...KEEP YOUR STICK ON THE ICE. UNCLE MARK (IN LACOMBE, ALBERTA)

Hi Derek,
I think all of your uncles are NUTS! Good you thing you have 'normal' aunties.
I have a school story for you... actually, more like a dirty secret...
In the old brick school in Luseland, my grade one teacher, Mrs. Allenback was really mean (she used to hit Lorne Strobel on the head with her ring because he couldn't read). I was scared of her and more scared of going downstairs to the bathrooms because there were bats down there. I had to go sooooo bad and she yelled at me when I asked if my friend, Dawn, could come with me. I ran out of the room and peed my pants (a little number 2 as well). It was terrible. By Grade three I learned to hold it.

PS Girls weren't allowed to play hockey in those days.

Derek,
Grade three was my very favorite grade in school. We had a pretty young teacher whose name was Miss Glauser. Our school was brand new(we were the first Grade 3 class in the Mary Rodney)and we had a lot of fun. Guess what, we played dodgeball too!!One time , a boy in my class called Brian Seffern, told my friend and I that there was no Santa. Well we sure told him that he didn't know what he was talking about and we had a fight about it!!Anyway, I'm glad you like Grade 3.
lol

Hi Schaefmister.
I'm taking a break from my studies..and was wondering when you were going to write again so I can comment again...I couldn't wait so decided to comment again...anyways.
You mentioned that you play dodge ball. Is that the game where you dodge the ball? I guess it must be since the the name is "Dodge Ball", but why don't they call it " Dodge THE Ball" ??? So...do you have strategies for dodging the ball? Do you zigzag back and forth quickly? OR Do you try hiding behind other kids? Are there any rules to "Dodge the Ball"? I remember playing this game in grade 3 too, but don't recall there being any rules. Can you aim at the person's face? That would be mean. But is there a penalty if you hit a person in the face with the ball? Don't you get your clothes all dirty from being hit with a dirty ball? I guess you shouldn't wear anything white if you play "Dodge THE Ball". I guess in grade 3 you get your clothes dirty all the time. Did you forget you have a blog to write? hahaha
uncle carl

good job derek

Derek, grade 3 is the best year of your life. So much fun. And yes, dodgeball is the best part. I remember having all different kinds of dodgeball.. like benchball... and doctor doctor... but I always liked regular dodgeball best. I don't need any fancy stuff to enjoy gym class. Do you still play games like "Girl's Kiss Boys" A.K.A. "Tag and Kiss".. or thee game where you all go down the slide at once and try to bump the first person off. Haha. Those were our favourite games in grade 3. In grade 3 I remember making a milk jug igloo.. and when a goat came into our classroom. And my group winning first in the poster contest at Agribition. I remember the super long bus rides sitting next to my crush and I rememeber getting sent to the Principal's office for fighting with Ryan and Brandon (But you won't get sent to thee office, right Derek? Because then you'll have an angry cousin to deal with=P). So cherish your grade 3 year.. because grade 9 is evil. Especially if you have to get froshed=P.
Luv, Your super ah-mazing cousin,
Kaycee Galenzoski

Are you still on Mrs. Fisher's good side? Have fun in grade three.

I think my blog is called
Casa Reilkoff Schraefel, but not sure how to link it.

Hey Derek, I don't have a clue what I'm doing. Love your blog and am happy to see that my brothers are still crazy after all these years!

Can you help me set up my blog. I'm a tech illiterate. I can't seem to post photos. I don't even know how to make a link. Would you put my link on yours if I can make it work?

Have a great time in Gr. 3. I'm sure you will have stories to tell about Mrs. Fisher in years to come.
love, Auntie Chris

Derek you must be too busy to write.
I'm sitting in Mexico waiting for another hurricane, mostly preparing for it. Am hot and tired but have posted stuff to my blog:

Just can't figure out how to get back into it!!
